Introducing the new

StomoxyCC trap

Stomoxys calcitrans, commonly known as the stable fly, is an insect pest that has spread worldwide.

It can be found around mammals, such as cows and pigs and is known for biting and sucking their blood. This causes  health and stress issues leading to a reduction in meat and milk production

In 2020 the global economic loss caused by  the stable fly, Stomoxys calcitrans, was estimated to exceed Euro 4 billion.

For years insecticides have been used to control this species, but this has led to the build up of very high resistance levels. alongside  increasing public concern over the effects of insecticides on both human health and the environment.

Research at several leading universities around the world has indicated that chemical control of Stomoxys calcitrans is now no longer possible.

A different approach for  the control of Stomoxys calcitrans has become of

strategic importance. The Stomoxycc trap has been designed with this in mind.

After  four years of research at a leading European university the Stomoxycc trap

is now ready to introduce to the market.

This is a new outdoor trap, highly effective for the control of biting stable flies.

And it works without the use of chemicals

THIS NEW STOMOXYCC TRAP HAS A SIMILAR DESIGN AS THE VAVOUA TRAP.
BUT WITH A VERY SOLID STRUCTURE AND BLUE AND BLACK FABRIC REPLACED BY SHINY PLASTIC MATERIAL.

Controlling

Meet the Stomoxys calcitrans

Stable flies, Stomoxys calcitrans are pests of livestock, wildlife, and humans throughout much of the world. Male and female stable flies bite and feed upon the blood of mammals and occasionally birds.

Their painful bites reduce productivity of livestock, molest wildlife, and disrupt recreational activities of humans. Although most of the damage caused by this pest is a direct result of their blood feeding activity, in some regions of the world, they are important vectors of livestock and wildlife pathogens.

Prevention and control strategies are critically discussed.
